Red Nose Clowns regularly visit hospitalised children in 35 hospitals across the country. Laughter and a good mood help young patients to overcome their illness better, makes them less fearful and shortens the time it takes for them to adapt.
The Red Nose Clowns have been visiting Motol University Hospital regularly since 2001. Young patients have the opportunity to meet Dr Dicky Bow, Nurse Candle, Dr Excellent or Dr Sponge three times a week and have fun with them. A good mood and a positive approach to treatment is the first step towards recovery.
Apart from clowning, the MUH has the CIRCUS PACIENTO, the Red Nose Clowns visit children for a whole week to learn circus art. The culmination is the Friday performance in costumes. This where the little patients show their parents, nurses and other children what they have learned.
